La Gloria Cubana Wavell (Robusto)
The guy at the B&M said these were “not bad”. I think he was underselling quite a bit. This is a good solid reliable cigar. Primarily good tobacco flavors marked with leather and notes of cream. Add a dash of baking spice and a slightly feisty finish marked with pepper and you have the recipe for a cigar with very good balance. Smoke is delivered with an acidity that is very well balanced to produce a good medium-full body and other than the pepper (which I adore anyway) the finish is clean and satisfying.
I’ve gotten acquainted with these from different samplers, singles purchases and then a 10 pack purchase. I don’t need a crystal ball to tell me that more are in my near future. All have been consistent in flavor and construction. This cigar is enjoyed, recommended and well on it’s way to being a permanent member of my “Good Cigars” list. Solid 90 for a good cigar at a good price point!
Look at that ash! Only possible with a perfectly bunched cigar of all long filler. This ain’t no Cuban Samich!

Long ashes my friends!
