Prelight:(10) At first glance this little cigar is generally inconspicuous. Sure the label says ”Double Ligero” on it but come on…. I have smoked my share of Ligero so far and have yet to be wowed. Gurkhas Triple Ligero flat out edged on mediocrity and the Patel Edge is good but not amazing. Well little did I know that this was the cigar that was going to do it. It looks good enough from a physical perspective. Excellent construction and roll with a unique chisel design that really delivers the smoke exceptionally well. There was a little superficial nick up near the cap. The band is a classic LFD which I have come to know is synonymous with excellent quality and good cigars. As i smell the wrapper it doesn’t smell like much. A unique sort of nutty smell is all that is given. There is no real earthiness or dankness that you would find on a typical maduro. There just really wasn’t much aroma at all. There was however, good flavor on the prelight and the draw felt perfect even though I only snipped the tiniest bit off the cap. 9/10
Flavor & Aroma:
(15) 1st 3rd: It starts off so smooth yet full bodied with a ton of flavor including a sharp yet creamy aromatic spice with sweet cedar and a nice spicy finish. It is very hard to stop smoking it. It is just so flavorful and everything I love in a full bodied cigar. 14/15
(15) 2nd 3rd: The flavorfest continues. Right around the half I am now getting ginger and a lemon drop flavor which intensifies the body and core flavors of wonderful creamy spice and pepper and sweet cedar aroma. I am really really enjoying this cigar. 14/15
(15) Final 3rd: 14/15
Construction & Burn:
(10) 1st 3rd: Perfect from the 1st puff. It takes 1 sip every minute or so and is burning very well. The ash is actually pretty white with some dark in it and is pretty strong ofr a thinner ring gauge. 10/10

(10) 2nd 3rd: Perfect draw/burn/volume. 10/10

(10) Final 3rd: Perfect draw/volume. The burn was getting a little hilly and there was some tar dripping out of the back so I snipped it again and cruised on. 9/10
Thoughts:(15) What a way to end the weekend. After smoking some ok and pretty good cigars this weekend, this one certainly shines above them all. It is a memorable experience and one that I will return for time and time again. I love this cigar….period. This cigars mission is not to wow you with complexity and nuance although it is there. This cigar lives only to punch you in the mouth with refined and bold flavor in a masteful way. It is so smooth on both palate and the sinuses but Herculean with strength. I can’t wait to smoke another. I would only recommend this cigar to folks that like a ton of strength an a full bodied flavorful experience….which describes myself to a tee. 14/15
Final: 94
